Welcome!

About Me
I am a recent graduate of music education from Radford University. I now hold a Collegiate Professional License in grades PREK-12. I have spent the past four years mastering my abilities as a vocalist, music teacher, private lessons instructor, and choral conductor. I am based in Salem, VA and I am excited to see what my future in education holds!
As much as I love teaching, there are many
chapters of my life that I have enjoyed being a part of. Below are groups or events that I have been a participant of in the last four years.
Bachelor of Music: Vocal/Choral PREK-12
Active Student | August 2018 - December 2022
| Graduated | 2022
I spent four life-changing years at Radford University immersing myself in the fields of music and education. I first began my collegiate journey in the field of music therapy, but soon learned to trust my initial instincts of joining the field of education. I spent my time learning how to enrich my life and the lives of others through music. I passionately researched many topics in college within and outside of my field of study. I believe that a wise educator can draw their teaching tools from an arsenal built from cross curricular knowledge and use it to make content learned in the classroom even more evident and concrete. I cannot thank the professors and the colleagues I shared my time with at Radford enough for giving me such an invaluable and unforgettable experience. I cherish this chapter of my life, but I am looking forward to seeing what my future holds in educating the of tomorrow through music.
Radford University 'American Choral Directors Association' Student Chapter
Radford ACDA Student Chapter | President | 2019-2021
| Member | 2018-2022
This chapter has been a part of my life throughout my undergraduate career. Through this chapter,
I made friends that had the same deep love for choral music and education as I did. We participated in fundraising events, concerts, as well conferences together.
I was even elected to be president from 2019-2021 during my time at Radford University! I enjoyed experiencing the administrative side of running a chapter, as well as being the representative of such an amazing group of individuals.

Radford University 'National Association for Music Educators' Student Chapter
Radford NAfME Student Chapter | Member | 2018-2022
The NAfME chapter at Radford is for aspiring music education students attending the university. The Radford chapter is a part of the national organization and every year we present on the work we accomplished at our university at the Virginia Music Educators Association (VMEA) Conference in November. I even performed at the collegiate recital at VMEA in 2019 (bottom right in performance opportunities) as well as presented research findings with a group from Radford University in 2021 (bottom right).

Performance and Research Opportunities
Undergraduate at Radford University | 2018-2022
Throughout my time at Radford, I always made the most out of my education. Anytime extra performance or research opportunities presented themselves, I strived to be a part of the process. A few examples of those opportunities are: Performing at Carnegie Hall in New York with Radford Singers (twice!), performed as an Honors Recital participant at Radford University, acted as Commencement Vocalist at graduation and hooding ceremonies at Radford, did an independent study on Early Childhood Education, and performed at VMEA in the collegiate recital in 2019. On top of the many wonderful educational pursuits I have ventured upon, I have also had opportunities to perform in the community of Radford. I have been singing as a section leader at a church near the University since I was a sophomore. One year, I invited my church choir to come and sing at a nursing home nearby for the Holidays. I didn't expect a turnout of more then three or four carolers, but instead, the entire choir showed up and showed out and it was one of the most heart-warming experiences I have ever had. So many great memories from my undergrad!

Outside of Education
My Family and other fun facts about me!
As much as I love music and choral education, there are also many wonderful things in my life that bring me joy and motivation everyday. I reside in Salem, Virginia in a home with my partner and we have a family of three (two cats and a dog). I also enjoy crocheting from time to time because I am secretly an old cat lady.
